If you’re looking to partner with someone to handle your podcast post-production no doubt you have questions about how we work, what our processes are like, and what your involvement will look like.

And you’re in luck. Here are the answers to the most common questions of new clients, and those who are exploring whether PodcastMotor is the right fit for them and their show.

How long does it take for PodcastMotor to turn around an episode?

We ask to have one full week (7 calendar days) to finish a podcast episode. This includes all the audio editing, show note writing, transcription, and time for you to review the episode and request any revisions you’d like.

How do you handle content edits? Does your team make creative decisions about what is included in the show?

Most of our team has been working on with us for several years they have a good ear for what should (and shouldn’t) be in an episode. We take some creative direction but tend to err on the side of keeping content in an episode rather than taking something out that could be beneficial for your audience.

We’re always open to your input when it comes to what stays and what needs to go from an episode.

Will the same editor and writer be working on each of my episodes?

Yes, absolutely. We feel very strongly that the best way to achieve a cohesive and consistent voice for your podcast is for the same team members work on every episode of your show. This helps make your podcast always sound the same and your show notes have the same voice.

I am just starting out, or want to improve an existing show…can you help with this?

Yes for sure. We offer a few different Setup and Launch packages depending on your needs if you’re creating a new show. These are comprehensive offerings that include all of the aspects you’ll need to start up a new show, including the editing of those launch episodes.

If you’d like our input into how you can level up an existing show please get in touch with us to discuss our consulting opportunities. There our team will listen to your show, and we’ll have a 1-hour deep dive into what is already working with your show that you can double down on, and where you might be missing out that you can start incorporating into your podcast.

Can I see some examples of shows that you have worked on?

Absolutely.  We’re proud to work with the podcasts below and feel their shows are representative of the work that our team does:

How do I communicate with the PodcastMotor team?

We keep things simple and stick to email, since it’s something that everyone knows and uses.

You can send us a note with each episode with any editing notes, special requirements you might have, or links you particularly want to include.

How do I send files to you?

We use Dropbox for file sharing. When you sign up you will receive an email from us with an invitation to a shrared Dropbox folder. There you can upload all of the assets you need to send us for your episodes.

In return we will upload the finished files to the same Dropbox folder for you to review before publishing.

How do revisions work?

We want you to be 100% happy with the work we do for your show. As a result we factor in time for your review, and any potential revisions, that may come about during the production of an episodes. If you’d like to tweak either the audio or show notes for an episode just let us know by email and we’ll take care of it.

The balancing aspect of revisions is they do take time to turn around, so if you’re on a tight timeline please give us more information when you submit an episode so we can create the episode you’re wanting the first time around.
